I finished up my Masters degree in January 2009. I’ve found that I overeducated myself out of the job market as I have minimal real-world experience yet I have a higher education than 99% of the people I’m interviewing with. Although I recently found a job in my field (heck, it’s better than retail), the pay is lousy and the opportunity is marginal. But hey, at least I get some of that much talked about “experience” I didn’t have when I initially entered the job market.
I’ll use this blog to share my frustrations as I look for a job that will actually pay me more than $12/hour.
Leave a comment to offer me a better job, advice, food stamps, and feedback.
