Trump Entertainment Resorts, the parent company of Donald Trump’s Atlantic City casinos, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Trump still owns 28% of the company despite recently resigning from the board of directors. The motion comes after the company failed to meet the deadline for a $53 million dollar interest payment on a loan well over $1 billion dollars. See, apparently when you’re uber-wealthy, you only pay $53 million dollars in interest on a billion dollar loan. I’ve heard people pay $53 million dollars on a Bank of America credit card balance total of $867!
Having been to Atlantic City on numerous occasions, I must say that Trump’s “resorts” don’t hold a candle to the chic and sophisticated Borgata. If you like watching old ladies with gas problems spend their social security checks, Trump’s casinos awaits your visit.
I guess I’ll have to cross off Trump Entertainment Resorts from the prospective career list because it doesn’t look like I’ll be getting a job with them.
